History of Stubby’s BBQ
Stubby’s BBQ was founded by Richard “Stubby’s BBQ” Stubblefield, Sr. in 1952 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He started by selling his famous barbecue sandwiches from a small trailer and quickly gained a loyal following. In 1977, Stubby’s BBQ sold the enterprise to a young couple from New York. Today, Stubby’s BBQ is run by the couple’s son, who continues to carry on his parent’s legacy of serving the best BBQ in Arkansas.
